“Malaysia: culture change” for good or worse?

Malaysia: culture change”
For good or worst?
By suren

The Curtains will soon be down for 2011 and the nation will be welcoming 2012. Reflecting back on how Malaysia has been doing, one significant change seems highly visible, ““demonstrating” culture” which was once a very rare phenomenon in Malaysia before 2011. Most Malaysians now can in a jiffy name a few demonstrations as it has been so common in Malaysia, from demo’s for rights, a cleaner pooling system, a walk to present a toilet bowl as a gift to authorities, demo’s by presenting agitating shaped cake as gifts, students breaking in varsity complexes and bringing down flags, march and riots to amend laws and even as we read there are rumours of coming uproars of demonstrations in Malaysia

Inevitably the political stirs caused by the larger power share to the oppositions has heated up the seats for the ruling party ever since the 2005 elections. The cats and dogs among them has much coloured the political sheets in the people’s eyes. Once Malaysia has been the quiet lot in the political agenda but this is no longer the case. Umpteen numbers of demonstrations, picketing and rioting have been rising every now and then consistently. Of Course the development of technologies which makes it accessible to acquire information’s fast, phenomenal growth of social media’s which makes it easy to get groups coordinated and political uproar in foreign nations are a few causes to be blamed yet what about self-reflection on the peaceful Malaysia we had to be viewed in contrast?

Reflecting on it makes us realize that this has not been the culture of Malaysians, for some time ago we used to watch such things happen in other countries and also neighbouring countries through the mainstream news but now Malaysia is having a culture change where it is becoming a norm in Malaysia to Demonstrate, march or picket to express issues, mostly backed by political reasons, seeking rights or emotional out pours

Name it freedom of expression or human rights; there are numerous questions which needs the answer of true Malaysians such as; are we heading right or is it heading to worst? Are we Malaysians are happy and willing to accept the street demonstrations or whatever forms of “Demonstration” as a part of our culture? Are we doing it right or should it be that way? Is it okay for foreign countries to recognize us as the demonstrating country compared to the fast paced developing country image we had?

These are a few questions need to be thrown to ourselves as Malaysians and it should be answered by us too, does seeking democracy in a non-democratic ways or actions can be justified as an act of democracy?; or a view on how many did truly walked the talk on their efforts through the said demonstrations? Perhaps the culture of Malaysia and how it has been needs to be rekindled and aspired on. It may not be harming to express and practice rights but it has to be for the right cause, by the right people and in the right way which doesn’t harm others physically or emotionally and doesn’t tarnish the image of the country which was built which much efforts and sacrifices. 2012 is still a mystery on whether it is going to cultivate the new “demonstrating” culture of Malaysia or if it has other plans, for sure the people of Malaysia are to answer..

“Rethinking worship & prayer”

“Worship and prayer” when said at a glance sound like many know what it is and what it is all about, in a more generic term perhaps it can be said as an act of divinity or perhaps putting divinity at practise.

But to the irony of it, observing many worships and prayers, today it has become more of an act of petitioning or putting up requests unto the supreme power, it’s quite common to see many putting up a list of wanting’s and needs to the alpha and omega when in divine places or when engaged in prayers

But is that what worship and prayers are really for? Are we supposed to have a requesting session with the supremacy that we worship and name it prayers or an act of devotion?
It is contradicting for a supreme power which we look upon to not know what are our needs and based on that very logic it means our needs and wanting’s are need less to be said yet not many are aware of it

Being in a divine or a sacred place for worship and prayer is to have a shift of environment and ambience to accommodate the growth and sustaining of the spiritual side of ourselves, that explains the numerous do’s and don’ts in sacred places, abiding in our spiritual beliefs, customs and submission to the supremacy would encourage the change of energy levels in us and provide cosmic energies to flow within thus making one to feel the closeness with the supreme power or the almighty or in a non-scientific term “acquiring the blessings”

These brings forth a great growth spiritually and physically it strengthens the mind and soul to achieve better relevance in divinity, not understanding this many instead of being submissive towards divinity becomes instructive by ordering the creator for what they need and want “what an irony”. Many are being destructive in divine places by reciting petitions and list of wanting’s rather than being humble and submissive in their worship and prayers

Fundamental understanding over their very own religion, customs and meanings of the worships, prayers and rituals would be the ultimate relevance for one to attain divine blessings and spiritual growth to sustain life as in the teachings of the religion despite being drift away from worldly materialistic needs …

Worship and Prayer should be free from list of materialistic wanting’s, self-importance, selfishness & ego but rather for the wellbeing of all others and submission to the almighty sincerely and purely without other worldly concerns ….

Growth, principals & maturity-how & why ...

I love those who can smile in trouble, who can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection. 'This the business of little minds to shrink, but they whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves their conduct, will pursue their principles unto death. - Leonardo da Vinci

“FRAGILE” is the best word to describe the characters of today’s young ones! Closely observed to day we have numerous followers rather than leaders! Attributes such as innovation, creativity, leadership and more needs to be taught and inculcated rather than self-developed among the lads

This are the effects of living in a group and taking up a group identity as the identity of the self rather than having individuality or principles in life, take a test, if you have a group of students, instruct them to speak up or present an idea in front of the others, first thing up avoiding and resistance takes place and worst hey tend to back off and push their friend forward which eventually does the same!

When wondering why this happens, it pricks that this is due to unavailability of understanding or knowing the self, this then results to the lack of self-principle and confidence which are the sustaining tools of the self!

One should always have the above said qualities which in a cluster will build up the character of the self and through that they would develop a way of thinking and a way of carrying themselves, a good mixture of all this creates a charismatic leadership quality and a great personality which is lacking among many adolescents today

Unfortunately today, the education system emphasizes more on grading which only contributes to route learning and parents or the significant others related in parenting are more prudent towards academic achievement rather than character development amongst adolescents

Adolescents must understand the basic values of life and develop principles for themselves and learn to stand firm in their principles. Only when this happens they would have character and the other related attributes for living such as leadership, creativity etc. which overall brings forth maturity and a well-balanced developed youth whom would be able to sustain themselves towards being a charismatic leader or personality

Acquiring only knowledge isn’t an indicator of having balanced mental development, but building up a character along with the knowledge contributes to “mutual development” … i.e. know a dictionary and the ability to use a dictionary is 2 different things …

What makes a woman special …

“Earth's noblest thing, a Woman perfected. ~James Russell Lowell”

A Woman …many view woman in varied ways such as a special creation, a noble creation, a symbol of sexuality, a being who cannot be understood, and much more.. But many fail to understand that a woman is actually a normal human being but she is destined to travel a journey in her life which often changes her roles and task eventually making her a very special person which forces and inculcates great values and virtues in her if she travels her journey of life fine and vice versa of course ….

A woman starts of her journey of life by being a sweet little girl

Seeking approval of her cuteness, personality and existence from her surroundings, if provided a well conducive nature around her she would eventually love and remember this days throughout her life

She grows into a gorgeous teenage girl

Extending her existence to a larger scope in her surrounding she becomes a person in the society seeking approval from her peers and friends exploring herself and knowing herself well, she would find who is she and would start exploring what she needs in life accompanied by beauty, imaginations and fantasies …

She establishes herself as a woman …

Now that she knows who she is she sets the standards and the meaning for her life, she decides what she wants to do and paves her way through to attain what she wants in her life

She shares her life as a better half

Adhering to the socital need and emotional need she agrees to share her life with a better half and makes a choice and transforms beautifully to a wife accepting all the new duties and roles of a status quo named “wife”

She changes to a mother by bringing a new soul to the world

Meeting the biological needs and being a wife she attains the greatest gift of bringing a new soul to earth and becomes a mother which would introduce her to pains and gains, enhancing her soft and loving nature and inculcating her patience and tolerance and forcing maturity wholly in her

Watching all the growth and development of her young ones she turns into a graceful grandmother …

At every steps of her life a woman has a contribution to someone else bringing forth a meaning and uplifting them, she becomes an inspiration for the men right from the moment a man wants to own her up to her very own daughter begins making food for the family .. A woman contributes in all to everyone in her circle

Being emotionally condensed and strong, understanding the valuable risks and sacrificing personal pleasures and for the wellness of her loved ones is a few of the virtues that the journey of life imposes and gets it out of her these are only the very few of it whereas there a more to it

Now adhering and following through the journey of life meant for a woman is what makes a woman special where she meets the purpose of her creation and lights the spark of life and inspiration in others by illuminating her womanly virtues and values onto her loved ones and the surroundings

A woman who does not appreciate nor understand her journey of life as a woman nor if she misleads her journey of life is the mistake which causes her to have a lesser glow just like a bright light bulb covered by a thick layer of dust

Being so it is vital for a woman to know, understand and accept her role and wholeheartedly in order to make her special, simply by doing so, she develops noble characters of a lovely woman which can’t be described as the greatness of a perfect woman is beyond neither word nor ink

Truly not all women would travel the same journey, but whatever may be her journey of life but that is what would shape her of who she would be being a “woman”

As in simple words A woman eventually sculpts herself out from the rock called life, her sculpting skills are the ability to accept and adhere to life’s circumstances thus it determines how gorgeous or less perfect the statue of the woman is going to be or if she is just going to be a half sculpted rock…

What makes a woman special is her travel in the journey of life ………….

CONDITIONAL SELFISHNESS

“CONDITIONAL SELFISHNESS” What, how & why By suren

“Conditional selfishness” the term may be new but I found it the best way to describe the attitude of putting the self as a priority without being ignorant to the rights and the feelings others.

Self-centeredness has always been a menace and a debate among many, well it was for me when I used to feel irritated, hurt and agitated with self-cantered behaviours such as ignoring our existence by some selfish person in order to get something for themselves which are in the first place of equal right for instance in the queue for a movie ticket, banks or clinic counters (the type of selfishness I hate the most as I feel treated inhuman when my presence is ignored) or parking a vehicle as preferred for their personal convenience causing congestion to others…

These are a few of selfish attitudes which are hurting and very disappointing but unfortunately it is lurking amongst us at all times

But at another end of our daily life, the failure to grab an opportunity causes a big blow in one’s life as the living environment is nothing better than a flock of vultures getting the best of the meat where only the selfish and opportunist tends to get the better share of life in trade of virtues and patience

Understanding this made me think perhaps the selfishness among man is nurtured by the unhealthy environment of “The opportunity warfare” which most of us are facing today at work, in families or worse at homes yet the irony of it, it is happening and get going tougher day after day (Man has to agree that the term – survival of the fittest- is being practised in daily lives these days)

Now knowing selfishness hurts and at the same time it is also needed to be the player of the game of opportunities i.e. “Economic life” there has to be a borderline for selfishness as we look at how something bad can be used also for something good just like a syringe which can be used for both medical treatment and also to abuse drugs, limbering up the thought muscles on this gave birth to the term of “conditional selfishness”

Despite sounding cool, the term is best explained as;

“It’s fine to be selfish up to the extent of not undermining the lawful rights of others or not to hurt others physically or emotionally at the same time the act of being selfishness can bring good to a number of people surrounding the self”

We have to agree the evolution have done enough damage to the mankind especially to the softer side life which is the values and virtues by forming life patterns that creates an economic animal, being so man have to adopt certain aspects in order to survive yet it has to be done by accommodating the basic life values of human’s either religious or humanistic ones. With proper modification and best practise both goals of being in the game of opportunity can be achieved and at the same time physically or emotionally hurting others by being selfish can be totally avoided

Being selfish can be hurting very badly to others as it is an offence of taking away of what is rightfully or equally belongs to others is an act of injustice and cruelty but it can be merely done in a jiffy leaving a lifelong hurt to others.

Let’s understand that it’s okay to be selfish wherever applies but it has to have a condition which is, not to undermine or jeopardise the right of others or not to physically nor emotionally hurt others, to add to that, the act of being selfish can be justified by applying the idea coined by Immanuel Kant through his Utilitarianism concept which considers “the amount of wellness / goodness to the larger amount of individuals is the justification of an action thus if your action of selfishness;

1. Does not undermine the rights of others
2. Does not hurt others physically or emotionally
3. Brings goodness or happiness to a large number of individuals

Then the action of being selfish is well justified and acceptable as none of us mortals would be able to be “unselfish” living in the days of materialistic and performance orientated world, inculcate on practising “Conditional Selfishness”

Openness towards other religions

Religious fanaticism is for sure an issue to deal with as many fail to realize that there are tendency to have it in one’s self without even “the self” knowing it. There are many complications when religious fanaticism is being in practise whereby it silently weakens unity, togetherness and harmony and the damage is worse moreover if it lurks in a multi-cultural nation.

Religious fanaticism has a potential to create a mental block to understand and appreciate the religion of others and only emphasizes on the self-religious grandiosity this will eventually cause the act of being bias / stigmatic or the mind of looking down on other religions overall creating a religious encapsulation (If there is such word)

There is no harm in having a positive regard over the religion being practised, but creating a second to none value over the religion practised and the act of claiming supremacy would cause more bad than good as no religion on earth be it from the Vedic or the reveal knowledge encourages the said attributes.

One must always make it a point to understand that all religion is formed and exists for the wellbeing of the believing society thus it has to be respected and viewed with a positive regards this does not make the self any less religious of the own nor it does not make a convert in doing so

In order to have a say or have an opinion of other religions there are certain prerequisites which are

1. The ability to stand un-biased or comparison orientated to the religion of the
self

2. Knowing and understanding basic fundamentals of the religion to be

commented to an acceptable level prior to commenting or stating a view

3. Accepting the Religion as a co-existing on earth and having a mutual respect
towards it not minding the contradicting factors of it towards other religions

Now the stated prerequisite’s sounds difficult and it is indeed yet these prerequisite’s ensure that a view given upon another religion is open and has a neutral factor as open commenting, mocking, jilting or down grading other religions in comparison to the very own religion would be an act of creating a stir of peace and values

Furthermore many fail to realize a point in contrast of Religious fanaticism is that many who practise it have to first turn back and look at how are they incorporated in their very own religion? either by nature i.e. born in that particular religion thus incorporated in it or engaging in the religion with a deep love, respect and understanding of the religion’s fundamental teachings, values & philosophies?

If the latter is neither found nor inculcated then clinging on Religious fanaticism is just an act of hypocrisy

Overall to be open to other religions, one must first understand the religion of the self, then understand the other religion as it is and only then work out on the diversities of religions existing and stay at the pace of accepting the diversities and respecting it as it is to sustain harmony and peace

Supremacy is superficial …

Supremacy is often quoted or looked upon very highly no matter if placed for a group of individual, a thing or something not tangible… Yet many fail to realize that supremacy is just a state made up by certain group of people to either set an ordinance of higher level or claim some special attributes from the said supremacy. Supremacy is actually a superficial tool to attain certain results…

In simpler words, supremacy is something that a group of people make up by themselves for their very own agenda, this happens in almost every single social groups from the upper class till the lower level social groups, cultures or nations. Supremacy happens in many areas such as in race, gender, religion, cast, and even biological aspect in certain customs

To a certain level supremacy is good if it is meant to sustain social ordinance or well being but when it is misused to manipulate or jeopardize rights and equalities then the supremacy losses it’s value and falls in the category of hypocrisy
If supremacy is misused to attain certain benefit, personal agenda or status quo then the supremacy can be quoted as something superficial, Supremacy should never be meant for the benefit of certain individual only but rather it would be acceptable if it creates certain privileges to a group or a thing but yet from it benefited by many such as the Monarchy system where by the royal group has a certain supremacy yet it still has a collective benefit to the citizens

Supremacy is in fact is superficial but what matters is that it can be acceptable if the superficial is beneficial to all if it doesn’t then it remains purely superficial and doesn’t mean a thing and it does not require the abiding and the in awe feeling by others !

Supremacy is a superficial tool to ensure something beneficial for the mass …

Living with the past.... “Round pecks in square holes”

“One of the most cruel thing a human being could do to the self is living with their past”……………..

Many have wondered why they have so much mental pain, hurt, frustration, disappointments, worries and being unproductive……… But fail to neither get an answer nor ignore to admit the answer. For those who are experiencing all the above said, check deep down in the mind or heart they are for sure to be living with something from the past.

When one gets hurt, he faces the pain and frustration, then copes with it and stores it in the memory. The problem arises when that memory is not given up for good. Bad memories when held for a long time in the mind, it becomes a pleasure and it gives much satisfaction whenever rekindled. In the long run one feels nice to keep all this past in them and lament over it because it gives them a kind of satisfaction. This is just like drug abuse though it feels good but the implication is of noting of good. Medaling on that past memory and using it to justify current scenario is the root cause of all hindrances one faces.

Past memories, when it becomes a mindset to modulate current happenings will only result to imperfections like putting in round pecks in square holes though it may go in but it causes hurt and pain as the situations and the people related in the past and current are totally different. Check a simple common scenario of a woman hating all men because one cheated her in the past or vice versa (the avoidance of a new relationship is the result of the act of “living with the past”

Analogically clinging to past memories is like holding a knife with no handles, Though you get comfortable and master on holding it yet the longer it is held then the more hurt it causes, for those who still deep down still living with your past, it’s time to let go of the knife and move on with life…… It’s pointless to do so!

Life has a lot more to offer which is fun and great then the valueless past which can never be revisited nor amended but only learned……..

Throw the knife with no handles and start putting round pecks in round holes, save the hurt, pain and all emotional stressors which only hold’s you back by creating an energy drain whereas without them a human being can be optimistic in life towards achievements.

Salad Bowl Unity

“Unity to be real must stand the severest strain without breaking” ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Unity as the word says brings the meaning of oneness! There is an issue of oneness but as simple as the word sounds, unity is not so! Unity or being united means more than many perceive. It can be divided into two which is;

1. Agreeing and coming together for a common identity or agenda

2. Patronizing a common goal / agenda / ideology totally even by sacrificing the self-interest / ideology/ importance / gains for the common goal

Now the first part is not much of a trouble and that is where many are good at, Freezing the condition at this point and calling it as unity would be an act of hypocrisy because at this state one can’t say that the state of togetherness is unity but rather just a surface of common togetherness

e.g. a group of individuals from different background like a certain restaurant and visits to the place without fail – this state can be called ‘togetherness on a common ground” Unity is far more that the feeling of togetherness!

Now the 2nd part is best described with the analogy in place where the same eating outlet is under the threat of demolition, the same group of individuals can put aside their differences, dispute, personal comfort and time and all other attachments and come for the rescue of the said outlet then unity is in action

When the second scenario takes place in a nation on defending the country or dealing with the national issue despite their difference and personal importance then the nation is worth to be called united or in unity

It’s a difficult task to stand united when clear cut differences are in existence and visible this is best described in an analogy of a salad bowl, there are many different types of food put into the salad bowl, the combination of all makes up ONE single dish called salad but each type of food still maintains its nature and qualities despite sharing the bowl with many other and they would sacrifice their individuality when named as a salad

e.g. a tomato in a salad is still a tomato when put in but yet we call it a salad then after being in the salad bowl thus the tomato has lost its individuality by being assimilated in a larger varied group. This is the type of unity practiced by Malaysia or supposed to be practiced in Malaysia.

Disputes and unity crushing incidents crop up in Malaysia at times due to certain individuals or group tends to give emphasis on the individuality said before e.g. the tomato demands more attention and recognition being in the salad bowl among many others

Unlike other nations like the US or the Indonesia which rather plays a totally varied ball game on unity by having the melting pot concept where by it is a total opposite of having all differences eliminated by boiling it down to a single substance i.e. the nation, this in other word can be said as an induced assimilation which does not permit varied identities to be maintained

We as Malaysians should always be thankful for the ‘Salad Bowl” model unity being practiced here and it allows each and every one to maintain their very own culture, value, norms & faith with peace and freedom. The key to sustain and maintain peace & harmony would be “TOLERANCE” with proper tolerance , mutual respect and understanding, The salad bowl would always remain a wonderful dish and pleasant to the eye of the world with its very own uniqueness as a twist of the lemon !

Happy Malaysia Day Malaysia !

Reasons & wanting’s …….

“People need something or someone to fasten themselves to in order to reassure themselves that they are real.” `Ani Difranco

What do we really want? Is the probably the toughest question to answer by almost any one of us!

Simple because we are all living in a confines scope of life, life is all about earning good figures and having comfortable life plus having some posh possessions but is that all to life ! There must be a reason for the life we live between birth and death

“Economic beings” so are we when we grasp a good education to acquire a good job prospect to get a good income, that’s what life is and about till the end! Moving on we live then for responsibilities again then for funding the family or off springs there we go again after being economic beings for ourselves then comes being economic beings for family and children

Life is surely has more to it if we can break free from the delusion of “Economic being” all the chase and craze of being the Economic being have made many to forget over being the “HUMAN BEING” this results to the inhuman scenarios which is rising !
Anyone today who is left out from grabbing the economic benefit falls into the tendency of getting into crime nor violence to get his economic share in such ways this is the result of all other being an economic being technically !

Happiness is abstract and not measurable, the proof for this lies in the question of how much of happiness is an ultimate happiness for oneself? None can answer to that due to the abstractness of happiness thus it may not be materialistic gains or dollars & cents are the yardstick of happiness!

When we can stop a moment and think as a human, then we would realize the fact not only money or things makes us happy there are also other things like a child’s smile and joy to see the mother / father home early !

Lets look back at the “reasons of our wanting” is it truly worth? Is it a wanting of the economic being or the human being? ……….

Roses comes with thorns ....

“Love isn’t all roses but comes along with some thorns too” – suren

“LOVE” as it is mentioned is given much of a magical spellbound forever sweet and good feeling effect, well of course love is so for sure but one should not confine love only in that context ignoring the maturity and practicality of love !
The Key here is maturity in Love for the teens and the young ones love comes to them based on biological attraction or better said the hormonal Kick stirs quite a some of effort resulting to the well-known terms of Infatuation, Puppy Love, Mere Attraction etc…

This kind of love never thinks of the practicality of the so call love generally! At this time all are beautiful, love is about being with the loved ones at all times, so called care and protect the partner and so on! The issue of this love is that it often side tracts heavily on the biological aspect, this can be explained as below;

The unity of two souls in life based on love is separated only by a thin line of the love quadrant which is separated by Love, Commitment and companionship on one side and the other side is separated with the Lust or biological side
A truly matured love relationship would have a well balance of both sides of the quadrant and would head towards a long lasting unity of love compared to the love relationship which slides only towards the lust side would normally lose the fire somewhere along the way.

This explains what I said earlier whereby teens today have side tract in love only towards the biological side resulting to love issues, dilemma’s, Social problems, teenage pregnancy and much more, teens should be educated that love has another side where commitment, sacrifice, hard work, patience and blessings is needed.

Understanding that Love to be true needs a well balance mix of the above proportions will contribute to a sustaining relationship rather than being deluded with only mere lust which based on libido desires !

Love is essential in life but only true love is and identifying and being in true love is attained only upon having the maturity and wisdom to do so!

Acepting the weakness

“If you can't accept losing, you can't win.” ~ Vince Lombardi

Development takes a hefty price! But it all begins only with accepting the weakness as when there is perfection then there is no room for improvement! Thus it can be said theoretically that presence of weakness comprehends the room for development but not vice versa.

Understanding this theory, it clearly shows that without accepting the weakness we possess then it would never be possible to enhance ourselves for betterment. But ironically many as an individual or even as a community are unable to accept this fact.

Accepting the weakness is considered like self-defaming or self-mockery which is not a substantial, jilting or magnifying the weakness of the self or the community may the issue of the before said self-defaming or self-mockery but acknowledging the weakness is no rather than opening the path towards development !

When a certain individual or a community is reluctant in acknowledging the weakness then they are neglecting the possibility for development and improvement! When someone else tries to acknowledge the weakness in a polite & constructive manner, this may not mean someone is looking down on the self but rather advocating on the chances to improve if it is accepted well!

Many are today having a defensive attitude backed by an in congruent state of ego towards the self or their community. Based on these defensive attitude they tend to shut themselves from possibilities to improvement and advice, and the worst is that they tag or assume those who advise them against this fickle mind thought as ‘anti-establishment’ or a traitor to the community

Many fail to realize that by being able to acknowledge their weakness, they are being bold and courageous enough to accept the reality of themselves or their community making it possible to work the strategies towards an achievable development process

In simple words, if you have a pain and you deny it then there will be no possibility for a cure !
Let’s all be open towards our weakness in order for the path towards development will eventually be open for us or our community!

“First step for development is openness towards weakness” – suren

Development Process

“Constant development is the law of life, and a man who always tries to maintain his dogmas in order to appear consistent drives himself into a false position” ~Mohandas Gandhi

Development is a must among humans as the result of consistent development gave birth to civilization . . . but many look at development from the half way of it or better said from where it sound nice i.e. by developing one can achieve wealth, health but actually the step in developments starts with the unhappy statement which is “accepting the weakness” ! ! !

Many individuals fail or omit this stage and focus only on possibilities of development thus when there is a tendency for individuals to choose the inappropriate strategy for development, constantly failing the development or eve developing a terribly false ego by defending strategy’s failure due to the fundamental problem stated before !

Many of us become fighters for strategy which doesn’t seem to work due to its virtue of being inappropriate as it doesn’t comply to the actual weakness of the person or society and this will lead eventually towards despair and disappointments in the far end

One must always adhere to the steps to development by sacrificing the ego of the self and accept that there is weakness in them only then the room for development will be possible, how would one develop if he / she have the mentality that they are perfect? If it is so then there is no need for development! Then there isn’t anything as constant development –i.e. anti Kaizen

Claiming for development without accepting the weakness is a mere time waste thus lets acknowledge the development process from the very basic of it without any ego or wrong belief system and hit the development constantly as the saying goes hand in hand :

“None is perfect except God – Changes & Development is a never ending process”

Politics

“A liberal is a man or a woman or a child who looks forward to a better day, a more tranquil night, and a bright, infinite future. ~Leonard Bernstein, The New York Times, 30 October 1988

Politics & politicians have long been bashed for all the dissatisfactions! Well of course they should be as they took up a role of upholding the path towards the betterment of the group of individuals who voted him and if doesn’t deliver the trust thus bashing is fair

Politics is surely a science which makes a lot of sense “IF” it is applied for the purpose of it was meant, what seems to be wrong here is that the Politic has the science theoretically but when it comes to the application it still has the science but it losses the conscience of the executioner of that very politics’ !

Whoever who comes up with the theories of politics’ should incorporate this formula;

Political Science if practiced by Individuals with conscience collectively brings forth Good governance and if Political Science is applied by Individuals with greed and self-importance it will result for him or her to the Loss of conscience which ultimately brings forth Bad governance and disruption of the nation’s capability to flourish

Politics in my view can be described analogically as below;

There is a well (Economic benefit & Living Quality) and we have a group of individuals collectively as a society (Citizens) which is has need of the water in the well, now if all of them rush for the water then there will be a commotion (Uncivilized) and perhaps not all may get the water (Equality) and the survival of the fittest theory would rule the scenario, to ensure the fairness and in order to ensure everyone gets the water, 1 person from the society should be given the responsibility to distribute the water evenly so a person is nominated & chosen by the others (Trust & Hope) and that 1 person is now in power over the well.(Election & Governance)

Now he (the person in power) would nominate a few others under him (Cabinets) to make it possible to ensure the water is evenly given to all. Overall these are the politicians in that society!

If the water does reach the people evenly then there is no issue (Good Governance) but if the person in power plans to use up or takes up a larger amount of water for himself or for the people whom are favorable to him then this is (Abusing of power) if he then tries to retain the power for himself without meeting the purpose of the power given by appointing men of favor or by showing false / manipulated facts to deceive the mind of the citizen this is then (Bad Politics)

If there are any other candidates who claims they could use the power to the betterment then we have a competition and the right to choose goes to the society, if the person in power then tries all possible ways to retain the power and downgrade the other party this is also (Corrupted Politics)

So now the catch of the politicians should be the satisfaction & fairness to the people rather than being in power and enjoying the benefit from it for himself! This would clear the stigma of politics is bad and corrupted but in true fact politicians are being dirty and corrupted by using the political science for personal gains!
Politicians should understand that the politic runs by them is powered by the people and it can be stooped or transferred any time if wanted by the people thus the catch should be wisely decided by individuals who claim themselves as politicians.

A true politician would be

Smart in finding ways to benefit the nation not himself
Brilliant in manipulating sources and expertise’s for the nation to develop not the self
Sharp in finding the factors which can bring down the nation building not his position & power
Bold to voice out and make changes for the betterment of his pupil not to sustain his political party
Brave to make the changes for building the country not his wealth
Concern & caring over his nation and not his personal dollars & cents

Good Politics ensures the growth of the nation!

RELIGION, CULTURE & NORMS

It was post World War 2, all the corners were filled with wreckage's and damages, hunger was hitting the whole nation, and people were suffering from post war traumas and disabilities. Dead bodies were scattered all around, there was a soldier tall and tough completing his final task in his uniform checking for rescues. As he was standing by a building he felt someone pulling his pants, as he looked down a little girl who was around 4 years with a wound on her forehead and torn cloths was pulling his pants , the soldier bend down to her asking what brought her to him ? And she replied: "hungry”!!!! he carried her and got into a nearby half wrecked cake store which was still operating and bought the girl a small cake , he left her by the shop and went across the road looking back as she was eating it, after a while someone pulled his pants again and when he looked down it was the same little girl again ! He bended down and asked her what now?

And she calmly asked him ………SIR ARE YOU GOD????????????????????

Before explaining my view on religion , culture and norms I would like to stress a few points out which are firstly this point of view is only for sharing purposes and does’nt has any intentions on implicating my views on the readers. Secondly readers are advised to read with an open mind and without any biases. Thirdly as the writer I am not an atheist but a different and practical thinker focusing on the humanistic scope

Basically any religion, culture and norms direct individuals to be a better person but People are more on to the secular front these days neglecting virtues and values. These are the same individuals who misuse the beautifully formed religion to their personal agenda.
It’s a clear-cut fact that development and religion, culture or norms are two different aspects in life and they rarely get along or merge, this makes people stranded in the way by not following or either and left behind.

It is really sad that today people are going towards secularism, worst is that those who are supposed to keep up the religion too are caught up with this dilemma. Many fail to realize that today religion, culture and norms are sidelining from their fundamental cause which is to keep humanism intact among humanism yet many animal like acts are clearly seen these days.
Today religion, culture and norms are tools for irresponsible yet smart individuals who utilize it as a source of income or as a way to get their cronies or community will to be do done and prevailed. This sidelining is so carefully happening that it is still transparent and becomes the reason of its existence in the society.

No one has the initiative or time to think where is this misleading act is leading to? Well the answer is for sure to some disastrous human culture where in another 60 years people might not know what these religion, culture and norms are meant for or perhaps people might not even know what humanism means. Well obviously we don’t have Jesus Christ nor Buddha Nor Prophets walking down the streets showing and teaching kindness and humanism to people these days, but it was rather better in those days where people meant what they said and did and they also had humanism virtues in them such as kindness and compassion which is rather rare these days.

Of course getting to start it all over again is out of the question, then what else is going to be the alternative to this problem? The answer is that the mindset of individuals who are victimized by ad versed religion, culture and norms have to be changed.

Peoples mentality on religion and other aspects that are related to it should be reorganized yet upgraded to be more practical and empirical so that it will not be a reason for people from holding back from development and at the same time prevent themselves from forgetting the fundamental of human kind which is humanity itself.

"LOVE IS GOD, SHOWING LOVE IS WHAT MAN SHOULD DO TO ACKNOWLEDGE GOD, LET RELIGION RESEMBLE THAT LOVE FOR ALL THINGS, NOT SECULARISM"

The Inner Voice ~

“There is something in every one of you that waits and listens for the sound of the genuine in yourself. It is the only true guide you will ever have. And if you cannot hear it, you will all of your life spend your days on the ends of strings that somebody else pulls.” ~Howard Thurman~

I was thinking of writing an article on “inner voice” and as I was looking for a suitable quote, I found this adorable quote by Howard Thurman. What he says is exactly what I intended to write,

Many fail to recognize the most reliable source for advice which is the inner voice. Tagged in different names as divine voice, conscience or the Freudians call it Superego it all serves the same purpose which is PROPOSING THE BEST FOR US!! !

The inner voice has always been there suggesting the best it is just that the inner voice is often neglected, not heard, ignored or worse in some cases killed”

The issue of the inner voice often unnoticed is due to certain reasons such as;

No Trust over the inner voice, as the inner voice is not looked upon as a substantial source of information to be used for decision making. Ironically this is the state of the inner voice compared to the fellow friends who face the same scenario nor the gossipers or false adviser's.

High Level of False Ego, The Inner Voice has a greatest foe! It can never get along with the false ego but sadly the inner voice is so pure and fragile it rarely puts up a fight or even if it did it in the end tends to lose it to the false ego where many seem to make decision based on the propositions made by the false ego rather than the well-wisher inner voice

External influence is a another factor where the inner voice is often ignored whereby listening to a iconic idol nor a prominent figure or a group who tends to indoctrinate their ideas or agendas which never gives a chance for the inner voice to be heard !

Never thought to hear or knew the inner voice, there are some individuals who never knew that they have an inner voice and it can be a substantial reference in decision making, often the tiny inner voice is avoided by this individuals as they name it as a just a hunch or perhaps some crap
Most of the stated obstacles are the reasons for the inner voice goes unnoticed and reference are made based on other resources which tends to lead towards a wrong choice or the far end results such as disappointments, guilt or resentments !

Can you recall back the little inner voice advising or suggesting to you! Name it conscience, hunch or whatever in your terms but don’t you think it said something good? Don’t you ever think that you are going nuts by hearing voices! That voice is meant to advise you! Take your time to give it a ear and see how it makes changes for the good in life by acquiring peace and love orientated decisions!

The Self Explained

"The body is a house of many windows; There we all sit showing ourselves and crying on the passers-by to come and love us"

~Robert Louis Stevenson

We have all walked or still walking a part in our life wanting others to understand us, appreciate us, praise or acknowledge us and it rarely happens nor if it does it will not be up to our expectations resulting to disappointments or better said as "Nobody understands me"

Gosh a great saying i believe almost every one have mentioned in our lives but how far it is true ? or perhaps it's just a delusion ! Do we really want to be understood or it is just a demand for attention ?

We should understand that attention isn't the recognition or approval for our perfection but self satisfaction is ! When you can take a deep breath and feel satisfied over what you've accomplished nor done that's the ultimate satisfaction and approval as the accomplishment comes from yourself, why would you need an approval from someone else even related to you who would not understand the idea and the effort put in by yourself ! It is as if putting square pegs in round holes to get an approval, understanding, love or attention from others !

Of course getting it from others may be sweet and means a lot but it is only secondary measures this would not be understood as you have been deluded by the norms of the world which acknowledges only external gratification and not the intrinsic value which is in the true fact a greater acknowledgement and much more sweeter and furthermore contributes to the inner growth !

It's funny how to know that people often seek inner motivation or needs such as love, appreciation, gratification etc from the external ! It should begin inward out not outward in !

in a nutshell ;

to be loved, love yourself
to be appreciated, appreciate yourself
to be praised, praise yourself
to be understood, understand yourself

all this to be done by others, is secondary or perhaps a bonus but the basic is better than anything ! Be yourself to be a better self !
